For the past one month or so, actor Alia Bhatt has been using her social media platform to help people out with verified COVID-19 helplines, numbers and names of verified NGOs and has been amplifying verified information. Now, the actress has started a new series on Instagram called Vaccinate India which aims to demystify the COVID-19 vaccine. In a video posted yesterday, Bhatt said that in the fight against COVID-19, Science is our greatest ally. She also said that science gives us vaccines and vaccines give us hope.
For her first episode, the actress spoke to Dr. Gagandeep Kang – Virologist, Microbiologist and one of the country’s leading experts on vaccines. Kang shed light on the development of the COVID vaccines and what some of the terms we hear associated with vaccines mean. Vaccinate India will be a 5 part series that aims to help people understand the COVID-19 vaccines a little better. On the work front, Alia was last seen in Kalank opposite Aditya Roy Kapur and Varun Dhawan. She’ll be seen next in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra which also stars Ranbir Kapoor.
